Understanding Voter ID verification
What is Voter ID verification?
Voter ID verification is the process of confirming that a Voter ID — the EPIC number on the card — is genuine and belongs to the person that presented it, by checking it against electoral-roll records rather than trusting the printed card.
A business submits the EPIC number, VerifyAll returns the elector’s details as held on record — name, age, gender, constituency and polling booth — and produces a report that can be stored as proof of the check. The Voter ID is a widely accepted officially valid document, so this is often one of the identity checks a business runs when onboarding a customer, employee or worker.
